Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Order Cancellation by the Customer
- Before Restaurant Acceptance: You may cancel your order at any time before the restaurant accepts it. If you cancel during this pending state, you are eligible for a 100% refund of the prepaid amount.
- After Restaurant Acceptance: Once the restaurant accepts your order and transitions it to the "PREPARING" state, preparation begins. Therefore, no cancellations or changes are allowed after acceptance, and no refund will be provided if you attempt to cancel the order.
2. Order Cancellation by Aritaku, Restaurants, or Riders
We make every effort to fulfill orders. However, an order may be canceled under the following conditions, in which case you will receive a 100% refund:
- The restaurant is temporarily sold out of the ordered items.
- The restaurant closes due to unforeseen operational issues.
- No delivery riders are available in your region to fulfill the delivery (e.g. extremely heavy rain or system outage).
- The delivery address falls outside our operational boundaries or is unserviceable.
3. Failure of Delivery / Wrong Address
You will not be eligible for a refund or redelivery if the delivery fails due to customer-side issues, including:
- Incorrect delivery address coordinates or address name provided at the time of ordering.
- Unreachability via phone or chat after the rider arrives at your doorstep.
- Failure to provide the 4-digit handover PIN to the rider.
- Refusal to accept the delivery at the door.
4. Issues with Food Quality or Damaged Items
If you receive the wrong items, missing items, or items damaged during transit, please contact us immediately (within 2 hours of delivery) through the Support section or email us at support@aritaku.com. We will review the order details and coordinates and, if verified, process a partial or full refund.
5. Refund Process and Timelines
- Once a refund is approved by our support team or triggered by a valid order cancellation, the refund is processed **instantly**.
- Refunds are credited directly to your **in-app Aritaku Wallet Balance** automatically. You will see the balance updated in your Profile/Wallet section immediately.
- Wallet balances can be used to pay for any future orders on the Aritaku platform. Wallet balances do not expire.
